EARWIG CONTROL · SALT LAKE COUNTY
TAGZ provides earwig control for Salt Lake County homes and businesses. We inspect where earwigs are appearing, nearby moisture and shelter, and the openings that may be allowing them inside.
Signs of Earwig Activity
Repeated indoor sightings
Recurring earwigs near ground-level doors, basements or window wells warrant checking entry points.
Large gatherings
Share where larger numbers appear and whether nearby areas remain damp or sheltered.
Plant damage
Request assessment when activity appears to be damaging plants; a few outdoor earwigs may not need treatment.
LEARN
Inspect where activity is concentrated.
Effective earwig control starts with understanding where activity is concentrated around the property, what conditions are supporting it and how earwigs may be reaching the structure.
PROTECT
Treat the areas and conditions that matter.
Recommend targeted treatment where warranted, alongside practical changes to moisture, shelter and access conditions.
DOCUMENT
Record findings and next steps.
Service notes keep the focus on exterior conditions, entry points and what should be watched before the next visit.
Earwig Control for Businesses and Homes
Earwig Control for Commercial Properties
Landscaping, irrigation, loading areas and ground-level entrances can bring earwig activity close to occupied commercial spaces. TAGZ assesses reported sightings and nearby moisture, shelter and entry points, coordinates service around property access and operating needs, and records relevant findings, treatment and practical prevention recommendations for the onsite team.
Earwig Control for Homes
Repeated earwig sightings near ground-level doors, basements or window wells can warrant checking both entry points and conditions outside. TAGZ assesses the activity, moisture and shelter, then recommends the appropriate next step for the property. A few earwigs outdoors may not require treatment; share recurring indoor sightings or plant damage.
Earwigs normally live outdoors. Damp landscaping, mulch, leaves and stored materials can provide shelter close to a structure. Repeated indoor sightings warrant checking ground-level doors, window wells, screens and other entry points; they do not necessarily indicate indoor breeding.
Remove accumulated leaves and debris near structures. Monitor irrigation and consistently damp areas. Check door sweeps, screens and accessible exterior gaps.
Keep window wells and similar protected areas clear. Avoid leaving stored materials directly against exterior walls. Inspect landscaping near areas where earwigs are repeatedly appearing indoors.
A few earwigs outdoors do not always require treatment. Earwigs also consume decaying organic matter and other insects. Control becomes more relevant when populations are causing damage or repeatedly entering a structure.
